For general data processing, downloading, tag editing. No point in wasting ssd write cycles for stuff like that. Bought this drive new, it's quite old at this point - SMART data says it has had 60,000 GB written to it in its lifetime. Still runs cool and quiet with no errors.

It's been around 3 years and it still works fine. Relatively quiet.

Another re-used part. This is the drive I use for lots of read / writes (downloads, MP3 tagging). 5400rpm, so it runs cool, and it has decent data density, so it's quick for its platter speed.

Loud, takes a considerable amount of time to spin up, but stable and good for archival/mass storage purposes.

It's a cheap 4TB drive, so far has been quite and hasn't given me any issues

Ideal for storing movies and such or similar files that doesn't need a high read/write speeds

I kept this HDD from my previous build. It's a slow and quiet 5400RPM but a reliable Western Digital brand. It works fast enough for what I use it for. It's my secondary and backup drive, and I even use it to store my Youtube videos which I record directly to this drive at 1080p 60fps. Been working very well so no complaints.
