Lol, my dorm is actually considered small. Just good space optimization :) I had to wait in line at BB for 9 hours to get the 3080, my sanity and sleep were only a small price to pay.

I wouldn't recommend the board. It's the first non-Asus board that I have had in over 6 years of building and I can't wait to go back to Asus. Asus please make a D4 ITX board for Raptor lake!

Mind if I ask why you're using slims on the rad? It looks like there'd be zero issue with normal fans or even something like t30's.

I originally bought them to use as push-pull with the included ML 120s, but there wasn't enough room for good airflow on the push-pull setup, so I tested both the ML and the NFA1215s, and data are given noise level the Noctuas performed about the same, and the pitch was less annoying, coupled that with the better GPU temps and I ditched the MLs. I have wanted to get a pair of NFA1225s and then another pair for the bottom, but I'm not really looking to spend $160 on fans ATM. I never max out the CPU, nad even under a 30-minute Cinebench loop it never breaks 95C at 5.3GHz at 1.227 volts.

Did you consider making the rear fan an exhaust? What component is using the fresh air is not obvious to me, I feel like it would be better used to pull the hot air from both the GPU and the radiator out of the case, instead of competing with the radiator fans. Otherwise this is a really satisfying build with clean cable management, well done.

It is providing fresh air to the fans on the RAD. I may have not made it clear based on the photos, but the rad is a push exhaust setup. It was really a challenge to get the back 92mm not to make a really annoying whining sound. I settle on using the rubber anti-vibration grommets that came with the case to make a 1mm or so barrier between the back of the case and the fan blades and that seems to have done the trick.

The reason that I have the rad as the exhaust was to improve GPU temps as that is what I care about the most, and given the nature of the founders' edition, it would be able to take advantage of the rad fans. Although while gaming doing anything CPU intensive or heating my room with CPU mining with the free electricity from the university, my CPU hovers around 80-95 which I can mitigate with some fresh air.

I had it set up as an outtake fan for the longest time before I switched the radiator fans.

My intuition would have led me to go bottom+side intake, rear+top exhaust, but I can't argue with your experimentation. Why your GPU temps got better when you flipped your rad fans to exhaust is not obvious to me. Also, without having built an SFF PC myself, I can only imagine the trouble of trying multiple configurations, so excuse my armchair thermal design input lol.

My airflow setup is intake with 2 bottom mounted NF-F12s pointed directly at the GPU, the founders GPU will blow some hot air out the back but the other will flow right through and go upwards, from there the back intake about evens out the pressure of the air inside the chassis, so it doesn't really draw anything in from the top of the case that I cover-up, and the RAD fans act as the exhaust for the case, taking in the hot air from the front of the GPU and the cold air from the back of the case. I chose to sacrifice CPU thermals for GPU thermals, as I rarely push the CPU, but routinely push the GPU.

Haha, yeah it was a challenge to configure everything and I swear that since I got the case 2 years ago, I've done more testing than gaming or coding on it. I appreciate the feedback which is why I posted the build in the first place.

I think a handle would be wasted. It sits on my desk for 99.9% of its life, and if I have to move it, I use the box that the case came in to transport.

Whats the ETH profitability on a 3080? Obviously you don't pay for electricity in a dorm so that part is great, but still isn't it like $180 a month at most, if you mined 24/7?

yeah, that's about right, I also have another one in a mining rig. so it's about double.
